Question on Alliance Battles
Hey all,
I'm interested in doing some Alliance Battles, but after reading the Wiki I'm still finding a few questions unanswered. The Wiki mentions that you can access AB through an npc in your Guild Hall. Is this npc automatically in the Hall as soon as you purchase it, or do you have to buy the npc like the others (crafting materials, xunlai agent etc.)? Is having a Guild Hall the only way to access AB? Or am I able to run to the individual outposts in Factions and enter each AB from there? I only found mention of access through the Guild Hall, but since I don't have a Guild Hall, I was hoping there would be some other means to get to them. Do I need to be in an alliance? I just got into the Echovald forest and started doing quests/missions that seem to be giving me Kurzick faction. I haven't discovered the Luxon city where you start to gain faction. The Wiki only mentions that you need to be in a Guild and allied with one of the two factions in order to access it, but it doesn't specifically state whether your guild has to be in an alliance with others in order to access them. Is there any benefit to joining either of the Factions? Is Kurzick any different than Luxon? I know that may end up being a matter of opinion, I just don't know if there is some benefit to either side that makes one worth doing over the other. Any help someone could offer up would help me out a lot, thanks in advance! |

yeah mate the idea is that your in a guild with a guild hall.
and have allied yourself with either kuzick or luxon. after that you will then be able to fight for your nation. but the quick answer to your question is. you do need a guild hall. and the npc is already there when you buy it. |

To participate in alliance battles, your Guild first needs to be affiliated with either faction. If you have not done so, you can do this at House zu Heltzer and Cavalon. After this, there should be a Kurzick/Luxon NPC in your Guild Hall that you can visit and get in AB.
Alternatively, you could go to the Temple of Balthazar and speak to the faction representatives there to get to AB. Your Guild still needs to be affiliated though. |

2. If you want to max the title, Kurz is better because their HFFF is faster/easier/more profitable. 3. If you want to win in AB, it helps to pick the winning side. In my experience, the Luxons tend to win more during US prime time, and the Kurz tend to win more during Euro prime time. |

Although your question asks about how to access AB, the above posters are correct. However as another note on Faction whether Luxon or Kurzick, in regards to PvE play, you alliance has no effect on your pve play. If you are part of the Luxon Faction, you can unlock all Kurzick areas and vice versa.
The only effect your faction alliance has on you is in how easy it is to get your alliance faction points (through AB). Access to merchants is only determined by which faction you have more points in (if you are luxon allied, but have more faction points in Kurzick, you cannot access luxon merchants). Also if you choose to, you can still get title ranks in either faction when allied, its only harder to get points in the opposing faction (only through quests in the opposing faction). So in summary, if you have only Kurzick cities unlocked, dont feel that you have to be Kurzick allied. Im luxon, and on all my characters, all cities are unlocked on both sides and all primary missions are completed on both sides. Just in case you didnt know. Have fun. |

I wasn't entirely sure how being allied would affect me in PvE as well, so I'm glad several of you mentioned that.
Thanks everyone for the replies! |
